this caliber - the main room on a solid sound system at an all-live
event. David produces "organic cutup" in downtempo and
midtempo BPMs that makes for compelling and moving (physically as well as
intellectually) music. LUX (aka Rodman) is dub beautiful/OEM's newest gem. recently signed to cd release on OEM Recordings, he will bring you glitch-hop/slow-breaks sounds that will move your ass while they fuck your head up. Rodman has designed and patented a highly experimental BPM that he will demonstrate with vigor and worrisome disregard. Rena is the revered daughter of San Francisco's live electronic music scene. disregard the world-touring credits, the endless list of A-list acts she has performed studio sessions for, and the film/tv/video game scores she has done - Rena makes incredible music that fuses the organic and the electronic with amazing results. dub beautiful collective makes a late entrance into 2005 with an amazing lineup comprised of this year's Ambient Alchemy Tour plus our own prodigal child, Alex Theory! this will mark the first US appearance of Shulman, as well as Alex Theory's record release on dub beautiful's OEM-Recordings label, the local debut of Phutureprimative and Shen, and the next evolution of the Bluetech sound. this show also celebrates the brand new headquarters of False Profit LLC - the stalwart of SF conscious events. C O N V O C A T I O N will showcase a wide variety of dub music: psychedelic dub, ethno dub, reggae dub, and dub techno - from some of the top musicians in the world. food & water will be served.
