~confluence~ is a experiential contributory event.  one where the audience participates directly through contribution.  everyone in attendance helps produce the event either through performance, setup, decoration, or other means.  ~confluence~ is a very small, intimate, and limited capacity occurrence.

tickets are $30 per person (plus $1 if you purchase online).  the ticket includes two small meals plus tea & snacks.  tickets will go on sale by july 16.  attendance for ~confluence~ is limited to 50 people. please purchase your tickets early to ensure your space for this very intimate occasion.  when tickets sell out, we will start a wait list, because invariably some people who purchase tickets may not be able to attend. 

~confluence~ is held at an indoor/outdoor location in Marin County just a short walk from the ocean shoreline.  the location is about 40 minutes drive from San Francisco.  the exact location and information on various sundries you may need will be emailed to you about 2 weeks before the event.

there will be a few community tents set up to sleep or nap in, as there is no sleeping inside the yurt building.  there will also be a campfire right next to the yurt, where you'll be able to hear the performances.

...about (some of) the performers

Murcof is Fernando Corona, and hails from Tijuana, Mexico.  Murcof released his first album, Martes in 2002.  we discovered it only 8 months ago and were stunned at what we heard.  IDM and minimal techno infused with recordings of chamber instruments (including cello, violin, piano, and more).  this is delicate and deeply moving music.  http://www.murcof.com 

Sariah Storm returns to us from LA where she has been running the Terpsichore Group music/art organization as well as working on soundtracks for avant-garde films as well as her own unique music productions.  Sariah creates & djs extraordinaire electronic music in the realms of minimal techno, IDM, and ambient. http://www.terpsichoregroup.org 

Rena is the quiet mover behind much of the amazing ethno/electronic music in San Francisco.  Rena plays something on the order of a dozen instruments masterfully.  Her studio productions find her overlaying tracks upon tracks of her own recordings and beat structures (acoustic and electronic), which is facilitated by her amazing studio engineering skills.  Rena's live performances usually find her at the helm of a selection of the area's amazing instrumental talent.  We believe she will treat us to a performance with a tabla & percussion player while she performs freshly written music on laptop, cello, and other instruments.  She has countless studio & touring credits.  http://www.renamusic.com

Digital Cutup Lounge played at an early Dub Beautiful Collective show (subzero frequencies) with dbc fave MNO back in 2001.  Jon Von moved from Hong Kong to LA, where he now joins us from.  Expect idm-electro-lounge with medolies, rhythms, and a healthy dose of funk.  http://www.digitalcutuplounge.com

Vir Unis is another suprise guest for the event.  Vir Unis is distinctly known in the deep ambient, and dark ambient world.  John's creations are deep, dark, and rhythmic.  John has also worked with Saul Stokes and dub beautiful favorite Steve Roach, and for ~confluence~ is joined by James Johnson.  http://www.atmoworks.com

Alpha-7 has been with Dub Beautiful as the resident and woefully underpaid sound engineer.  Tim Dixon has worked as a studio engineer and recording artist for 10+ years in Europe and the US, and comes to ~confluence~ with a unique sound of ambient & downtempo from a purely compositional frame of reference.  http://www.alpha-7.org
